She slipped into a number of outfits from tours gone by in the music video for her latest single, Look What You Made Me Do.

And Taylor Swift gave fans a glimpse into her 'apocalyptic' costume wardrobe on Tuesday in a funny behind-the-scenes clip from the shoot, posted to herYouTube page.

The singer, 27, explained she had a 'sarcastic trip down memory lane' while filming the video, as she had worn a number of her most iconic past costumes - which she proceeded to show off to her followers.

In the video Taylor, dressed in a casual black tracksuit, gives fans a tour of her on-set wardrobe, which she describes as the 'apocalypse of clothing'.

Rummaging through the vast selection, she goes on to showcase a number of her most famous outfits - including the 22 and Our Song video looks, as well as her VMA outfit, which she notes was 'the first time she went pant-less'.

Explaining this 'throwback' premise for the costumes for Look What You Made Me Do, she says: 'One of the craziest things about the video is that it called back to looks of previous album cycles.

Taylor herself is clad in the geeky get-up from her You Belong With Me video, and goes on to detail the costumes of her co-stars, in her usually witty style.

Proving her sense of humour further, she then holds up a huge chunky gold chain, and jokes: 'Its really important to wear subtle jewellery in music videos, I've learned.'

Having tired of all the costume changes however, she ends the behind-the-scenes clip by telling fans: 'I am excited for the video, but furthermore, I can't wait to get home and eat Chinese food with my cats.'

She also made digs at her ex Tom Hiddleston, as well as frenemies Katy Perry and Kim Kardashian in a string of hidden messages.
